In-House Fall Soccer

This program strives to develop basic skills in each individual while providing the opportunity for all players to participate equally in a team sport. At many of the age levels, the Bloomingdale Soccer Organization will participate in the newly formed Mid-Suburban Soccer League (MSSL) with surrounding park districts. The other age levels will play only Bloomingdale teams.

The Bloomingdale Soccer Organization (BSO) is a volunteer organization of the Bloomingdale Park District. The BSO offers both an in-house and a travel program, open to children from age 4 through 8th grade.

Volunteer Coaches Needed
The BSO is a volunteer organization whose success is dependent on the number of adults willing to give their time as coaches, coordinators, board members, etc. In order to insure the quality of our program we are requesting that all coaches commit and sign-up for the Fall season by June 27th.

Coaches can register on the same dates and times as the player registrations. Per Park District requirements, all coaches must complete the Score 6 certification program and a criminal background check. The BSO offers a variety of clinics during the year to train coaches on the basic rules, tactics, and practice methods used in soccer.

For more information on becoming a coach, contact our Coaches Coordinator, Mario Marsico at 893-0042.

Score 6 Certification Program
The Park District requires all coaches to complete a Score 6 certification class and a criminal background check. Also, at least one parent of all participants is required to attend a Score 6 class. Coaches and parents must attend the Score 6 class prior to the start of the season.

Lightning F. C. Travel Soccer
The BSO is proud to offer a travel soccer program established to provide a feeder system to Lake Park, Glenbard East & North, as well as Driscoll and Montini schools. The travel program is for those kids who wish to play in a more competitive atmosphere, designed with a tryout/cut system and does not guarantee playing time.

The travel program includes both the Fall and Spring seasons. Anyone who would like to play on a travel team must attend the tryouts.
