The Kids' Place

The Kids' Place is a cooperative program between the Bloomingdale Park District and School Districts #13 and #15 conducted at DuJardin, Erickson and Winnebago Schools. The program offers before and after school care for children whose parents work or attend school . The Kids' Place provides a fun, secure, and safe environment for children to play, read, enjoy arts & crafts, or do homework. A snack is provided in the afternoon program only. Optional care is available on Institute Days, holidays, and vacations for an additional fee. Priority will be given to those signed up for the 5-day package, then 4-day, 3-day, 2-day and 1-day. A $75.00 registration fee (includes a $15 non refundable registration fee and a $60.00 deposit which is taken off of your last payment), the first month's payment, and Kids' Place registration forms are required to secure a spot in the program. Those registering for less than five days per week must attend Kids' Place the same days each week to qualify for monthly payments. Please note that there is a two business day processing period after you register. Your child will be eligible to start after the two-day period.

Monthly Payments
Fees are based on actual school days and are divided into nine equal payments. Payment amounts reflect discounts for equal payments. Payment amounts reflect holidays, institute days, early dismissals, and breaks.

Change of Days
If you need to change your days of the week or your choice of punch card or billing during the school year, you may do so by filling out a change of days form at the Park District office. Please note that families on monthly billing will not be able to switch to a punch card in the months of December or March.

Late Fee Policy
Monthly Payments: Monthly payments are due on the first of each month. Late payments will be assessed a $5.00 fee for each business day past due after the 1st of the month.

Punch Cards
Punch cards may only be paid for by automatic charge. Once your punch card has been exhausted, the billing department will automatically charge your credit card to renew it. Punch cards are only sold in increments of ten or twenty days. Please specify your choice at the time of registration.
