Job Opportunities

Preschool Teacher - Intro Level (part time). The Preschool Teacher is responsible for planning and organizing all aspects of Preschool. 

Recreations Coordinator (part time). The Recreation Coordinator is responsible for the management of the District’s gymnastics programs, tumbling programs, ninja programs, and birthday parties. This includes, but is not limited to, early childhood movement programs, recreational level gymnastics, open gym, private lessons, competitive teams, and assigned special events.

Before/After School Aide Staff (part time). The Aide is responsible for helping out with activities, games, crafts, and homework for participants in the program and must provide the participants with a leadership role and be a positive role model to them. The Aide is responsible for planning, organizing and leading daily activities.

Parks Maintenance Staff 1 (full time). The Parks and Facility Maintenance I staff member is responsible for the daily maintenance, repair, and improvements of the parks and facilities of the Bloomingdale Park District. All Parks Department employees are expected to be efficient, courteous, perform duties following all safety requirements and exercise sound judgment in the best interest of the Park District and its patrons.

Group Exercise & Aqua Fitness Instructors - Adult & Youth (part time) - If you are a Certified Group Exercise instructor, we have a great opportunity for you to expand your class offerings!  We are hiring instructors of a variety of formats, special preference to Aqua & Youth/Kids Fitness instructors.  Please forward your resume and certifications to Amber Patton, Fitness Coordinator, at amber@bloomingdaleparks.org.  Starting pay is $18-$32/hour.  Independent Contractor options are available.

Personal Trainer (part time) - Under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor, the Personal Trainer is responsible for creating and implementing workout programs for customers at the B-Fit Center. 

Building Attendant (part time) - Under the direction of the Recreation and Facilities Supervisor, the Building Attendant is responsible for the proper operation and related customer service of patrons in facilities during morning, afternoon, evening and weekend hours as designated by the daily programming schedule of the facility.

Gymnastics Instructor (part time) - 
Under the direction of the Gymnastics Coordinator, gymnastics instructors are responsible for planning, organization and instruction of assigned gymnastics activities offered at the Bloomingdale Park District. Also, he/she must assist the Gymnastics Coordinator with creating lesson plans and supervising the participants of each class.

Park Maintenance Worker (part time) - Under the supervision of the facility maintenance supervisor, park operations are responsible for performing a variety of daily, seasonal and/or routine grounds and facility maintenance functions. Must be able to safely perform duties in the presence of the general population and or park patrons in public areas.
