Preschool Information for 2025-2026

The Park District is excited to provide our youngest residents with a state-of-the-art facility that promotes a safe and positive learning environment. 

Little Acorn Academy encourages the development of a well-balanced child. We offer a comprehensive readiness-for-school program addressing physical, emotional, social and intellectual needs. Our goal is to creatively and effectively teach students socialization, fine and gross motor skills, and basic academics including language arts, math, science and art.

The 2025-2026 school year begins the week of September 1st and ends the week of May 4th.  Open House will be held September 2nd & 3rd depending on class times.

Eligibility (2025-26)

• Intro to Preschool students must be 2 ½ by September 30th 2025
.• Tiny Tots students must be 3 by Sept. 1, 2025
.• Pre-Kindergarten students must be 4 by Sept. 1, 2025
.• All children must be potty-trained and able to take care of their own bathroom needs. No diapers or pull-ups.

Registration Dates (2025-26)

Registration is accepted according to the dates below. Fill out the forms and return to the Johnston Recreation Center, 172 S. Circle Ave., Bloomingdale. Forms may be faxed, mailed or dropped off in person.

January 15-January 27: Returning Resident Students & SiblingsJanuary 29-February 10: New Resident Students

February 12-February 24: Returning Non-Resident Students & Siblings

February 26: Open Registration

Quick Tips for Successful Registration

• Choose to pay in full or opt for a monthly payment plan• Attach a copy of child’s birth certificate.• Updated email for epact• Include all applicable fees including $75 non-refundable registration fee, your first month’s payment and a $30 graduation fee for Pre-Kindergarten students.• Be sure to complete all information on the forms• Designate a second choice on your registration form.
