Bloomingdale Park District announces new superintendent of parks and planning

Bloomingdale Park District recently announced that Mevsudin (Mesha) Hadzic has been promoted to Superintendent of Parks & Planning. Hadzic previously served as assistant director of parks and planning since May of 2018.  

“We are proud to announce that Mesha was promoted to head the parks department at the Bloomingdale Park District,” said Bloomingdale Park District Executive Director Joe Potts. “Mesha is a believer in, and advocate for, constant improvement and it shows in his work every day at the Bloomingdale Park District. He will be a great addition to the leadership team at the BPD.”  

Hadzic has more than a decade of history working and managing maintenance departments. He came to Bloomingdale from the Wheaton Park District where he served as evening facilities & grounds foreman.  

Hadzic is trained in basic preventative maintenance, leading custodial operations, and controlling facility and grounds operations, including but not limited to security systems, HVAC, emergency on-call management, inspection of grounds, buildings and equipment. He previously held positions at Wide Transport, Inc., in Addison; Cardinal Health in Aurora; Siemens in both Germany and Bosnia-Herzegovina; and Phonak in Warrenville.  

Hadzic is a graduate of the University of Sarajevo in Bosnia-Herzegovina, where he also attended Engineering Technical School. He currently resides in Warrenville with his wife, Adisa; her son, Haris (age 23); and his daughter, Melisa (age 17).
