
BPD Earns Recognition for Photography

Digital Marketing Specialist Aileen Morales received third place in the Integrated Photo category at the IPRA Agency Showcase during the IPRA/IAPD State Conference. The award-winning photo graced the cover of the district’s Autumn Program Guide, capturing a heartwarming, family-focused moment that perfectly encapsulated the essence of fall.
“The recognition underscores the district’s commitment to creating visuals that
celebrate community and the natural beauty of Bloomingdale,” said Lonna Converso, Director of Marketing & Communications for the Bloomingdale Park District.
Taken with a Canon Rebel T7, the photograph features a local family enjoying a bright autumn day at Circle Park. Natural lighting and seasonal props like fall leaves enhanced the image’s warm, inviting tone. The composition balanced candid authenticity with intentional framing, showcasing the district’s amenities while keeping the family at the heart of the shot.
“Our goal was to highlight both our beautiful parks and the joy they bring to residents,” added Aileen. “This photo tells that story perfectly.”
