Rodriguez hired as recreation supervisor
Bloomingdale Park District announced today that Tania Rodriguez has been hired as a recreation supervisor. Rodriguez has worked as an office assistant in the District’s Parks & Planning Department since 2012.
Tania’s program/facility responsibilities in this new role include general youth and adult programs, The Clubhouse Indoor Playground, the Bloomingdale Park District Museum, concessions, Chef’s Corner Kitchen, dance co-op, birthday parties, nature programming, movies, and assigned special events.
“We are excited for Tania to join the Recreation team and we look forward to the contributions she will make,” said Bloomingdale Park District Director of Recreation Sandy Vangundy. “Please join me in welcoming her!”
Prior to the BPD, Rodriguez served in a variety of roles at the Bensenville Park District including early childhood programming and special events coordinator (2008-2009), assistant to the director/special events coordinator (2004-2008), part-time water park manager and part-time building attendant. She also interned at Wheaton Park District, gaining a variety of experience in various roles.
Rodriguez holds a bachelor’s degree in recreation from Chicago State University where she graduated with magna cum laude honors. She attained her associate’s degree in general education from College of DuPage.
