Lakeview Park
History:
Lakeview Park underwent a $590,000 remodeling project in 2009-10 that consisted of a new fishing pier, climbing wall, shelter/gazebo and playground structure, and more user-friendly ballfields. Additionally, several areas of the park were restored to their original native existence. An Open Space Land Acquisition Development grant from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources funded half of the project. Patrick Ranallo, a Bloomingdale resident and the owner/president of Aspen Plumbing Company, donated his time and the materials for the park's drinking fountain. Park officials sought input and support for the renovations from the community. In 2014, the tennis court was replaced as part of the District's capital asset replacement program.
