Tompkins Park

History:
Tompkins Park is named after Harold Tompkins, former Superintendent of School District #13. It was originally leased from the school district from 1973-1991 when the Village of Bloomingdale purchased it and deeded it to the Park District. The playgrounds were renovated beginning fall of 2015 with completion occurring spring of 2016. The new playgrounds were farm-themed to reflect Bloomingdale's agricultural past. The Bloomingdale Historical Society provided great assistance in providing two pieces of interpretive signs.
