A Hundred Species

Date: Wednesday, October 19, 2022
Time: 7P

"A Hundred Species" this seminar will go in depth with attracting birds, although it does so in the context of bird loss. We will discuss the basics of attracting birds: providing food, water, and shelter. We will examine the different types of seeds found in seed mixes, the pros and cons of each. We will discuss feeders and their placement. Finally, we will suggest ways to discourage pests. In terms of houses, we will explain the different types of bird houses and factors that need to be considered in their construction and placement. This program will also talk about plantings that help attract birds and butterflies to one's property.
