These natural, gentle, safe movements help maximize ROM, strength and balance while returning your muscles to their natural resting position. Somatic Education in the tradition of Thomas Hanna is a system of neuromuscular education, mind-body training, that enables you to get unstuck. Many musculoskeletal disorders can be corrected by changing learned posture and movement patterns. You can enjoy life without pain while gaining more relaxed muscles for the rest of your life. In this class Jennifer will be instructing students on 4 basic movements one new move each week building off the first. This is a can’t-miss class if you’ve been struggling with managing any type of pain or are looking for a natural alternative to pain management and healing. Students need to have enough mobility to lay down and rise up for this floor work class. Please bring a Yoga mat or Blanket with you for comfort.
